As with other racing companies, the history of Hayashi Racing began from participating
in club racing. However, Masakazu Hayashi was definitely different from other drivers.
He was not only a highly skilled driver,
but also had knowledge of modifications
that made his racing cars faster.
In addition, he had the technology and
environment as a manufacturer.

Before the time the name of “Hayashi Street” was born, Masakazu Hayashi made his first Hayashi Racing wheel exclusively for himself. It was the tool to win.
Hayashi had a flexible idea that focused on using aluminum, which is light and easy to process, as a material for wheels at a time when only steel wheels existed. The first Hayashi made aluminum wheels debuted by being installed on the first Hayashi constructed racing car, Carman Apache.
After that Masakazu Hayashi’s racing career became very successful with the use of Hayashi made aluminum wheels.
Hayashi’s aluminum wheels became an essential factor to win the races.

The aluminum wheels manufactured by Hayashi spontaneously spread to the rest of the racing field. It was only a matter of time before the road going model was debuted.
Therefore, the road version was named "Hayashi Street.” Hayashi Street was acknowledged as a functional part even in the street scene. It has been inherited as the most basic tuning wheel without changing its appearance until today, even though its functionality has been upgraded. Hayashi wheels are still recognized as essential tuning parts that are revolutionary, high fashioned and give ideal handling performance.
Pedigree, which is a tool for winning, is still alive without fading.
